For listed & multi-branch companies

Branches, books and board papers, on a private cloud your company owns.

Baadal is a private cloud server your company owns, kept on your own premises. Every branch and plant works in the same folders and the same Tally or ERP. Head office decides who opens what, and switches off a leaver’s sign-in in one step.

  • Every office works in the same folders and books
  • Access set at head office, branch by branch
  • Auditors get view-only access with an end date

Note 01What changes

Spreadsheets by email, shared logins and forwarded board packs, retired.

Most multi-branch companies run on attachments between offices. It holds together until quarter end, an audit or someone leaving.

  1. Quarter close · before

Each branch emails head office a stock sheet and a Tally backup. Mumbai consolidates from Pune_Stock_FINAL_v3.xlsx, and an hour later Pune sends v4.

    With Baadal

Every office works in the same folders and posts into the same books. Head office opens the current figures, not the latest attachment.

  2. Leavers · before

The branch shares one login to its file server. When the accountant who set it up resigns, someone has to change the password and tell twelve people.

    With Baadal

Everyone signs in as themselves. Head office switches off one account: the sign-in stops, the files stay with the company, and links that person sent outside stop working.

  3. Board papers · before

The board pack goes to directors as an email attachment, and copies sit in personal inboxes long after the meeting.

    With Baadal

Directors open the pack from a password-protected link that expires after the meeting, with downloads hidden.

Note 02Access, office by office

Pick a person. See what they can open, office by office.

Head office sets access by group: a branch, a department, an audit firm. Move someone into another group and what they can open moves with them. This example company has a head office, three branches and a plant.

Note 03The quarter close

From quarter end to the results board meeting, without a Tally backup in anyone’s inbox.

The weeks after a quarter closes are when every office needs the same books at once. Here is how an example quarter runs when all five offices are on Baadal.

  1. Day 1Pune branch accounts

Posts the quarter’s last sales and purchase entries into the company’s Tally on Baadal, from the branch, over Baadal Connect. No backup file goes to Mumbai.

  2. Day 2Indore plant stores

Files the signed stock-count sheets in the plant’s quarter folder. Search reads the scans, so head office finds them later by item code.

  3. Day 6Head office finance

Starts the consolidation with every office’s books and stock figures in one place. Nobody asks a branch to resend the latest file.

  4. Day 12Statutory auditors

Get view-only access to the quarter’s books and vouchers for all five offices, on the audit firm’s own accounts. The share ends on the date you set.

  5. Day 25Company secretary

Builds the board pack in the Board folder: notes, results and draft minutes, edited in the browser and kept apart from the branches’ working files.

  6. Board dayDirectors

Open the board pack from a password-protected link that expires after the meeting, with downloads hidden.

Note 04Folders

A new branch opens with its folders and access already set.

Before Baadal is delivered, we build your folder template around how the company is organised: board and secretarial, head office functions, each branch and plant, the auditors. A new office is one more copy of the branch set, with the same rules.

  • Each office’s folders carry its code, so a search can be narrowed to one branch
  • Audit folders open to the audit firm for the year, then close on the date you set
  • Board packs kept quarter by quarter, apart from the branches’ working files

Note 05Tally & ERP

One Tally or ERP, with every office posting into it.

Inside Baadal you can run Windows or Linux virtual machines. Put TallyPrime, SAP Business One or your own ERP on one, and branches post into the same company from where they sit, instead of sending files to head office.

  • Branches connect with Baadal Connect on Windows or Mac
  • A snapshot before each software update, so an upgrade can be rolled back
  • USB signing tokens passed through to Tally, for digital signatures
  • Sales, outstandings, stock, GST, P&L and balance sheet in the myBaadal app, from a synced copy, for people the admin allows

Each person using Tally, your ERP or Windows needs a licence that covers them. We count those with you before anything moves.

Note 06API & integrations

Already run workflows and integrations? Connect them to Baadal.

Baadal has a REST API, so the systems your company already runs can work with the files and accounts on it. Your ERP, HR system or reporting job talks to Baadal directly, instead of someone downloading and uploading by hand.

Files and folders

  • List folders and read file details
  • Upload and download files of any type
  • Create folders; move, rename, copy and delete files

People · admin accounts only

  • List and look up users
  • Create, update, enable, disable and delete users
  • ERP

Files each invoice PDF in the right branch’s folder as it is raised, so accounts never saves it twice.

  • HR system

Creates a joiner’s Baadal account and switches off a leaver’s on their last day, from the same record.

  • Reporting

Collects every branch’s month-end files into one head office folder before the review starts.

Integrations sign in with an app password, not anyone’s own password, and changes to user accounts need an admin account. We share the API reference with your developers, or build the connection for you.

Note 07Controls

What your audit committee and IT head will ask, answered plainly.

No certifications claimed. This is what Baadal does today, and where it stops.

Where does the data sit?
On a Baadal device your company owns, on your own premises in India.
Is it encrypted?
The device’s own drives are encrypted, with the key held in its security chip.
What if a drive fails?
Choose mirrored drives at setup and work carries on if one fails. Mirroring isn’t a backup, so scheduled backups go to a USB drive, a network share or S3-compatible storage you choose.
Who decides who opens what?
Your admin. Users, groups and storage quotas; folders shared person by person or group by group; links with a password and an end date.
What is recorded?
Each person’s Activity: files added, edited, shared, deleted and restored, and downloads through links they sent. Opening a file isn’t recorded.
How do branches reach it?
Through Baadal’s relay, over an encrypted connection, with no ports opened on your router.
How is it kept up to date?
Signed updates, installed automatically.
Can our own systems connect?
Yes. The REST API handles files, folders and user accounts, so your ERP, HR system or reporting can work with Baadal directly.
What can Baadal’s support team see?
[CONFIRM: how support access is started, what it can reach, and whether the company sees it]

Where it stops

Baadal keeps your records on hardware you own and lets you set who opens them. It doesn’t certify you under SEBI’s regulations, the Companies Act or the DPDP Act. Your auditors and compliance team still decide what your controls need.

Note 08Built for your company

We build your custom app or workflow to suit your needs.

Tell us which approvals still travel between your branches and head office by email or on paper. We turn each one into a form or approval route that runs on your Baadal, beside the files it concerns.

Tell us what you need
  • Branch expense and petty-cash approvals, signed off at head office
  • Capital expenditure requests, routed by amount
  • Vendor onboarding with GSTIN, PAN and bank proof
  • Internal audit checklists per branch, with findings attached
  • A board pack checklist before anything is circulated

Note 09Questions

What CFOs and IT heads ask before moving branch files.

Is Baadal built for a company our size?

Yes. Companies with several branches already run on Baadal, across healthcare, finance, legal, manufacturing and retail businesses in India. On the demo call we map your offices, departments and people, and plan the setup around them.

Will every branch see the same files?

Yes. Every office works in the same folders, and head office decides which office and which person opens each one. Keeping offices in sync needs an internet connection.

What happens when a branch’s internet goes down?

People inside that office keep working over its local network while Baadal and the network have power. Reaching files from outside, and syncing with the other offices, pick up again when the line is back.

Does it replace the database we keep for price-sensitive information?

No. Baadal isn’t that database, and it doesn’t record who opens a file. It lets you keep board papers in a folder only named people can open, and each share of that folder is listed in its sharing panel.

Can our auditors work without seeing everything?

Yes. Share the year’s books and vouchers with the audit firm’s accounts as view only, with an end date. Payroll and board folders stay closed to them.

Will our ERP run on it?

If your ERP has an edition that installs on Windows or Linux, it can run in a virtual machine on Baadal, with every office reaching the same copy. ERPs sold only as an online service stay with their vendor. We check yours on the demo call.

What if the device itself fails?

Our support team works out what failed and arranges repair or recovery under your support and warranty terms. If you chose mirrored drives, one disk failing doesn’t stop work; your scheduled backups are the copy you restore from if more is lost.
